What about Tales of the Texas Rangers, Sky King, and the Mickey Mouse Club in the 50's? They were some of my favorites.
Thank You, Wendy!!!
My sister and I used to parade around the living room when MICKEY MOUSE CLUB was on, and I saw some of those again during the 1970's, but the program does not stick in my head so well now, though I love THE HARDY BOYS and SPIN & MARTY.
Annette Funicello, well, there's always room for Funicello!!!
;o)
TOTR and SKY KING, I am sorry to say, I cannot recall ever seeing, but I am now going to add OUR MISS BROOKS to my list, a show that I love.
I much prefer watching Eve Arden to Lucille Ball.
Definitely add OUR MISS BROOKS.
What about Howdy Doody?

Oh My G*D!!!
Deborah and I watched HOWDY religiously, and crued when the set burned up, I recall seeing the show on my Mum's old Philco, my memories of the show are not what they should be, but I know that we watched it.
I loved CAPTAIN KANGAROO, especially TOM TERIFFIC (the greatest hero ever), LARIAT SAM, and all that stuff.
The local kids' show I most loved was REX TRAILER'S BOOMTOWN, which ran the great cartoons like the Max Fleischer produced Paramount SUPERMAN series, POW WOW, THE INDIAN BOY, the original GUMBY, and THE MIGHTY HERCULES.
Rex will be appearing in May, at Massasoit College, in Brockton, MA, to play THE LONE RANGER, in old time radio recreations.
Rin Tin Tin. Was that the name of the show or just the dog? I really liked that one too.
Hi Wendy,
As I told you at dinner the other night, I believe the show was called RIN TIN TIN AND RUSTY, but that may only have been for syndication re-runs.
The show may have been called THE ADVENTURES OF RIN TIN TIN in it's actual run.
:o)
